Annex 1 Part A

Tariff Schedule of China with respect to Goods Originating in New Zealand

Headnote

1. The tariff schedule in this Annex contains the following columns:

  1. "Code": the code used in the nomenclature of the Harmonised System 2007.
  2. "Description": the description of the product which applies to the code.
  3. "Base Rate": the basic customs duty from which the tariff elimination programme starts.
  4. "End Date": the year in which tariff goes to zero (i.e. tariff free) for the product concerned.

2. The base rate and the rate of customs duty at each stage of reduction for a product are indicated for the product in the Schedule.

3. The tariffs on the products in Chapters 44, 48 and 49, for which rates are not indicated, shall be applied in accordance with China's WTO commitments.

4. Reductions shall occur upon entry into force of this Agreement and thereafter on 1 January of each year, as provided for in the Schedule.
